Meticulous Drawing: #Wedon’tshutup #Weshutdown

Oliver Scheibler has drawn a picture for the campaign We Don’t Shut Up! It shows the blockade of excavators and conveyors at the Weisweiler power plant during the WeShutDown action in November 2017, the destruction of villages for the Inden mine and the power plant. The bee is a reference to the Beehive Collective from the United States, who created the image “The True Cost of Coal” on the Anti-Coal-Resistance in the Appalachian Mountains. The Cologne artist Oliver Scheibler also drew the Drawing “Rooted in resistance” about the history of the resistance to lignite power generation in the Rhenish mining district.
Thanks a lot to Oliver!
